At around 11:00 AM (Central Mexico Time), the remains of Silvia Pinal, the «Diva of the Golden Age of Cinema,» arrived at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.
Silvia Pinal, who passed away at the age of 94 after several days in the hospital, left an indelible legacy in film, theater, and television.
The event, organized by Mexico’s Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the actress’s family, provided an opportunity for the public to bid farewell.
Claudia Curiel de Icaza, Secretary of Culture, emphasized the actress’s significance in national culture and announced her presence at the tribute.
TRIBUTE TO SILVIA PINAL HELD AT BELLAS ARTES
The farewell to Silvia Pinal, the diva of Mexican cinema, was filled with symbolism and emotional moments.
Upon her arrival at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the actress’s family carried a silver pinwheel, a detail that caught the attention of attendees and the media.

The mahogany casket entered at around 11:22 AM, led by her daughters Sylvia Pasquel and Alejandra Guzmán.
The first honor guard included her daughters and granddaughters, such as Stephanie Salas and her daughter Michelle Salas.
SYLVIA PASQUEL BREAKS HER SILENCE
Sylvia Pasquel was the first to speak. Through tears, she reflected on her mother and expressed gratitude for the support of family and loved ones.
«Today we are here, at Bellas Artes, the most important venue in the country, to say goodbye for the second time,» she said.
«For us, her family, we are losing a beloved mother. I want to thank Bellas Artes for hosting this farewell to such a great woman.»
«I’m grateful for all the gestures of affection, your words, which are a balm in this moment of pain. I speak of the deepest pain in my heart, for someone who shared so much with me—beautiful, tender, funny, clever, a wonderful mother.»
ALEJANDRA GUZMÁN THANKS THE PUBLIC
Alejandra Guzmán shared her mother’s final moments and spoke about their bond.
«For me, it’s an honor to feel the love from all of Mexico and the world. My mother was extraordinary. We were all together when she transcended, during her last breath, which I will always carry in my heart as a gift she gave me.»
