Negative views of Harris have increased to 49%, particularly among younger voters and independents.
Donald Trump, with a 43% approval rating and 51% negative views, has reached his highest performance in an NBC News poll since leaving office.
The poll also reveals a significant gender gap between the two candidates.

Voter turnout could be the deciding factor, with different turnout scenarios favoring one candidate or the other.
If rural and non-college-educated white voters turn out in higher numbers, Trump would edge out Harris by 2 points.
