President Donald Trump has announced he’s considering hosting a UFC fight on the White House grounds, with an audience of between 20,000 and 25,000 people, as part of the celebrations for the United States’ 250th anniversary of independence in 2026.
“We have a lot of space there.”
Speaking at a rally in Iowa, Trump—an avid UFC fan and friend of UFC President Dana White—said he envisions a “full fight card” event as part of the “America 250” program.

The former president also announced plans for a large festival on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., as well as a nationwide competition for high school athletes. Additionally, he said that all national parks and historic sites would host special events throughout that year.
Trump and UFC: A Visible Alliance
Trump has been a frequent attendee at UFC events in recent years, including an appearance after his reelection in 2024 and another alongside Dana White just last month at a championship fight.

A Fight on the White House Lawn?
So far, the White House has not released further details about the proposal, but merely mentioning the event has already stirred political and sports circles.
