Donald Trump has chosen Chris Wright to serve as Energy Secretary in a potential second term for the Republican leader.
Wright is a campaign donor and an executive in the fossil fuel industry.
As CEO of Liberty Energy, based in Denver, he is a strong advocate for the development of oil and gas.
This includes hydraulic fracturing, a key element in Trump’s efforts to achieve U.S. «energy dominance» in the global market.

Chris Wright has garnered support from influential conservatives, including oil and gas magnate Harold Hamm.

Chris Wright has been one of the staunchest opponents of industry efforts to combat climate change.
It is said that he may push measures favoring fossil fuels.
Such as swiftly ending the Biden administration’s year-long pause on processing applications for natural gas export approvals.
This was decreed by President Joe Biden’s administration.
Official Announcement

Chris Wright has criticized what he calls a «top-down» approach to climate change by liberal and left-wing groups.
He stated that the global climate movement is «collapsing under its own weight.»
Shortly after his appointment, Wright made it official through his social media platforms.
«I am honored and grateful for the opportunity Donald Trump has given me to serve our country as Secretary of Energy,» he wrote.
