Since taking office on January 20, Donald Trump has tightened measures against undocumented immigrants, creating uncertainty among the foreign community in the United States.

Detentions and deportations have increased, and some immigrants might lose their green cards.

The government has made its stance on illegal immigration clear, giving the green light to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to conduct raids nationwide.

This has caused panic among the immigrant population, including those with legal residency.

The president has vowed to drastically reduce the flow of immigrants and revoke residency documents for those who do not comply with established rules.

One of the main reasons for losing permanent residency is immigration fraud.

According to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), those who have provided false information could face the cancellation of their green card and immediate deportation.

This includes those using fake documents to work or reside in the country.

Although this law was not implemented by Trump, authorities continue to enforce it rigorously, as reported by El Cronista.

In addition to expulsion, offenders could face fines exceeding $200,000 or even up to five years in prison.

To avoid legal issues, it is crucial for immigrants to correctly submit their residency application using the official USCIS form and comply with the interview process if selected.

The Trump administration continues to intensify immigration controls, leaving thousands of people, even those with a green card, in a state of uncertainty and fear.
