  • Controversy over manipulated videos

According to the EFE news agency, U.S. President Donald Trump sparked fresh controversy after posting several artificial intelligence videos in which he proclaims himself “king,” in response to the massive “No Kings” demonstrations held across the country.

The videos, shared Sunday on his Truth Social account, depict Trump wearing a golden crown while piloting a fighter jet emblazoned with the words “King Trump.”

In the footage, the president appears to drop what look like excrement on protesters — a blatant visual satire directed at those accusing him of authoritarianism.

The material was originally shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter) and later reposted by Trump without any accompanying message or comment.

“No Kings” protests and Trump’s response

In another of the AI-generated videos, Trump appears donning a royal robe and placing a crown on his head while holding a sword against a backdrop featuring Democrat Nancy Pelosi.

These heavily manipulated images seem to directly respond to the message of the “No Kings” protests, where millions of people demanded limits to presidential power.

So far, the White House has not issued an official statement regarding Trump’s use of AI, though he has previously faced criticism for sharing manipulated media.

Political analysts suggest that such posts reinforce Trump’s provocative rhetoric and aim to energize his conservative base amid growing backlash from progressive sectors.

The “No Kings” demonstrations took place Saturday in more than 2,500 cities across all 50 U.S. states, drawing an estimated seven million participants.

Protesters marched in cities such as New York, Washington, Miami, and Los Angeles, denouncing what they call Trump’s “growing authoritarianism” and his attempts to consolidate power.

Organizers stated this was the largest mobilization since his return to office in January, surpassing even the June 14 protest held on the president’s birthday.

In that earlier demonstration, around five million people took to the streets under the same slogan: “We don’t want kings.”

The political climate in the United States is increasingly polarized following Trump’s decision to deploy military forces in several Democrat-led cities.

The president justified the measure as part of his strategy to “fight crime and support immigration enforcement,” while local governors denounced it as an assault on state autonomy.

Despite the heavy security presence, no major incidents were reported during the protests, though Republicans had warned of possible unrest.

The “No Kings” movement has regained strength as a symbol of democratic resistance against what many describe as the administration’s “monarchical drift.”

Political impact of Trump’s use of artificial intelligence

Donald Trump’s use of artificial intelligence videos portraying himself as a “king” has ignited a heated debate about the ethical limits of political communication.

Experts warn that this type of manipulated content can distort public perception and normalize the use of digital tools for propaganda purposes.

Meanwhile, the “No Kings” movement continues to grow as a symbol of opposition to authoritarianism and defense of democracy in the United States.

The controversy highlights how technology has become a new battleground in modern politics — and a core element of the president’s communication strategy.
