President Donald Trump issued a new warning to Iran regarding its nuclear program.
Speaking from the White House, he declared that “very bad things” would happen to Iran if it refuses to negotiate with the United States.
Trump said he had sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, urging him to enter talks.
“I told them they have to make a decision,” he said to reporters.

He emphasized his preference to resolve the conflict through discussions.
“But if we don’t resolve it, very bad things will happen to Iran,” Trump reiterated.
According to U.S. media, Trump’s letter included a two-month deadline to reach an agreement.
In the letter, the president reportedly laid out that there are only two ways to handle the situation: militarily or through negotiation.
On Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that they had officially responded to the letter.
The response was delivered through Oman, which acts as a mediator between the two countries.
Araqchi did not disclose the contents of the response to Trump but made it clear that Iran will not negotiate under threats.
However, he did express openness to indirect talks, as has been the case in the past.
Iran maintains its stance of not engaging in direct dialogue while U.S. military pressure continues.
During his first term, Trump withdrew from the 2015 nuclear agreement signed by President Obama and other world powers.
