A tragedy engulfs the community of Salvatierra, Guanajuato, where an armed group broke into a Christmas festivity, spreading terror by opening fire indiscriminately.

Young people between 20 and 30 years old were the fatal victims of this shooting that shook the early hours of Sunday, December 17.

Among the dozens of victims were members of the musical group ‘Dinastía Cornejo’ and a former beauty queen.

The former beauty queen was identified as Thalía Cornejo, who had been crowned queen at the Candelaria Salvatierra event in 2017, according to the ‘am’ portal.

Initial reports revealed that at least a dozen people were injured during the attack and taken to several local hospitals.

However, details about the current condition of the injured have not yet been provided by municipal authorities.

In a terrifying twist, in addition to the human losses, two vehicles and two motorcycles were set on fire at the scene.

According to the ‘Infobae’ portal, vehicles were set on fire, intensifying the chaos in the Ex Hacienda of San José del Carmen, the scene of this massacre.
