How can I vote? Missouri requires an excuse to vote by mail. Acceptable reasons include absence from the jurisdiction on Election Day, illness or disability, religious beliefs, employment by an election authority, incarceration while retaining voting qualifications, and participation in an address confidentiality program.
Request an absentee ballot from your local election authority in person, by mail, email, or fax. Absentee ballot requests must be received by the local election authority by 5 p.m. the 2nd Wednesday before Election Day.
Completed absentee ballots must be received by an election authority by the close of polls on Election Day.
Early In-Person voting is available starting the 2nd Tuesday before Election Day until 5 p.m. the day before Election Day at your local election official’s office.
On Election Day, voting sites are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you’re in line by closing time, you have the right to vote. Curbside voting is available for voters with disabilities.
