How can I vote?

By Mail: To request an absentee ballot in Texas, use the absentee ballot application form available at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/reqabbm.shtml Texas voters can vote by mail if they will be away from their county on Election Day or during early voting, are sick or disabled, are at least 65 years old, expect to give birth within 3 weeks before or after Election Day, are civilly committed, or are confined in jail without a felony conviction. Absentee ballot applications can be submitted in person, by mail, email, or fax, with certain requirements for faxed or emailed requests. Applications must be received by the county clerk no later than the 11th day before Election Day. Completed absentee ballots can only be submitted in person to the early voting clerk’s office on Election Day, or by mail with specific postmark and receipt deadlines.

Early In-person: Early voting in Texas generally starts 17 days before Election Day and ends 4 days before. Curbside voting is available during early voting for physically unable voters; call county election officials in advance.

Election Day: Voting sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Curbside voting is available upon request for physically unable voters; call county election officials in advance.
