How can I vote?
By Mail: All Virginia voters have the option to vote by mail. If you possess a Virginia driver’s license or ID card, you can request an absentee ballot online through https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation. If you lack a Virginia driver’s license or ID card, you must complete a paper application and submit it via email, mail, or fax to your local registrar’s office. The absentee ballot request application must reach your registrar by 5:00 p.m. on the 11th day before Election Day. Completed mail-in ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received before noon on the third day afterward. Alternatively, absentee ballots can be personally delivered to a drop-off location by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Early In Person: Any voter has the opportunity to apply for an in-person absentee ballot at their local Board of Elections office or satellite voting location and cast it simultaneously, commencing 45 days before an election until 5:00 p.m. on the Saturday preceding Election Day.
Election Day: Polling sites will operate from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you’re in line at the close of polls, you’re entitled to vote. Curbside voting is available for voters with disabilities and those aged 65 and older.
