Journalist María Celeste Arrarás shared the heartbreaking news of her boyfriend’s sudden death on social media on Thursday, May 2.
«It’s incredible how someone so positive and full of life, someone who gave us so much… could leave us so suddenly,» she wrote.
Raúl Quintana, who was not widely known until now, died from a sudden heart attack while exercising.

María Celeste’s daughter found Raúl Quintana after he died
According to El Gordo y La Flaca, María Celeste was in Madrid, Spain, when her boyfriend passed away.
Lili Estefan reported that it was María Celeste’s daughter who found Raúl Quintana and accompanied him in the ambulance.
It was also revealed that María Celeste’s children were very fond of Raúl and saw the Venezuelan businessman as a father figure.
María Celeste is expected to return to the United States today to bid her final farewell to her partner.
María Celeste’s boyfriend got off to a rocky start
People en Español reported that the relationship between María Celeste and her boyfriend did not start on the best terms.
In 2010, the journalist called 911 following a dispute and accused him of domestic violence, though he pleaded not guilty.
«It was an isolated incident and it should stay in the past,» Raúl Quintana said at the time on Al Rojo Vivo.
Since then, they kept their relationship low-key, occasionally appearing on social media or at public events.
Who Was Raúl Quintana?
Few knew that María Celeste’s boyfriend, Raúl Quintana, was also well-regarded by her ex-husband, Manny Arvesu.
According to People en Español, Raúl Quintana was a millionaire businessman, known for his interest in aviation and sailing, and recognized as a loving father.
Carlos Adyan, a friend of the couple, commented on Raúl’s cheerful and hospitable nature.
