First and foremost, singer Chuy Montana’s real name was Jesús Nolberto Cárdenas Vázquez. As mentioned above, he was 25 years old.
He was originally from Sinaloa, Mexico, but his career began to take off in Tijuana, the city where he lived until his death.
According to SDP Noticias, he met Jesús Ortiz, the lead singer of Fuerza Regida, who signed him to his record label.
Street Mob Records is a record label and creative agency based in San Bernardino, California. It’s a subsidiary of Rancho Humilde.
Chuy Montana sang on the U.S. border

Chuy Montana revealed that, before achieving fame, he sang corridos tumbados on the U.S./Tijuana border.
Eventually, he received a call from the lead singer of Fuerza Regida, who told him that he wouldn’t work «on the line» anymore because they were going to sign him to their record label.
He is mainly remembered for the song ‘Porte de Scarface,’ which was inspired by the movie starring Al Pacino.
Later, he would release songs like ‘Empresa SM,’ ‘Que Bendición,’ ‘Marlboro Blanco,’ ‘Italia,’ and ‘Ramos Buchones.’ May he rest in peace.

Despite only releasing six singles, not including the song ‘Polvos de Chanel’ with Fuerza Regida, Chuy Montana achieved success in a short amount of time.
He has nearly a million monthly listeners on Spotify alone. On YouTube, his videos also have millions of views.
One of his most famous songs, ‘Porte de Scarface,’ has over 20 million views.
It is said that he was working on a fusion of corridos tumbados and electronic music.

Before his tragic murder, Chuy Montana had only shared 61 posts on his official Instagram account.
«Jesús CV. Artist. Street mob mafia. Street Mob Records. It only takes one bad day,» wrote the young artist on his profile.
Moreover, the corridos tumbados singer gradually saw his number of followers increase, with over 220,000, who offered their condolences.
«You will continue shining in heaven, bro.» «It’s unbelievable… that your life is taken away when you’re barely starting to achieve your goals.»
