The entertainment world in Mexico is in mourning following confirmation of the deaths of two renowned actors and an iconic actress who left their mark on television, film, and theater for decades.

The announcements, made by the National Association of Interpreters (ANDI) and the National Association of Actors (ANDA), prompted a wave of tributes and condolences to their families.

These three figures — from different generations and artistic styles — shared a legacy now remembered with admiration and affection.

Their names: Xavier del Valle, Erna Martha Bauman, and José Antonio Estrada Salgado, each leaving an unforgettable imprint on Mexican culture.

The death of Xavier del Valle, also known as Luis Xavier del Valle Muñoz, was confirmed on Friday, November 21, 2025.

The news was announced by ANDI and ANDA, who expressed their sorrow and shared a clear message: “We deeply regret the passing of interpreter Xavier del Valle.”

So far, the cause of death has not been disclosed, respecting the family’s privacy.

Xavier del Valle stood out in Mexican television with memorable roles in El Señor de los Cielos and Infames, as well as participating in Capadocia, Un día cualquiera, and Señora Acero.

Erna Martha Bauman, an Eternal Icon

The actress Erna Martha Bauman Keller also passed away on November 21, her death confirmed by ANDI.

The association remembered her as a woman who “transitioned from modeling to acting,” honoring her versatility and elegance.

Erna Martha gained national recognition after being crowned Señorita México and becoming a semifinalist at Miss Universe 1956 — achievements that opened doors to film and television.

She became a standout figure in Mexican gothic horror cinema, especially for her portrayal of Countess Eugenia Frankenhausen in La invasión de los vampiros and El vampiro sangriento.

A Beloved Figure: José Antonio Estrada Salgado

Days earlier, the death of actor José Antonio Estrada Salgado, affectionately known as “El Chino,” had been announced.

ANDI confirmed his passing, describing the loss as a blow to his colleagues and to the audiences who followed his work.

Estrada Salgado was a frequent supporting actor in Mexican television, appearing in Vecinos, Mujeres asesinas, and La rosa de Guadalupe.

His popularity also grew among younger audiences thanks to his comedic appearances in sketches from the YouTube channel Qué Parió, where he showcased his talent and charisma.

A Legacy That Does Not Fade

The deaths of Xavier del Valle, Erna Martha Bauman, and José Antonio Estrada Salgado brought what many refer to as “the rule of three,” a sadly common coincidence in the entertainment industry.

Beyond that perception, their passing leaves a significant void in Mexican entertainment and has inspired heartfelt tributes from fans, colleagues, and family members.

Each of them, through their unique artistic path, contributed memorable roles, stories, and performances to the cultural landscape — works now being celebrated once again.

The tribute repeated most frequently among messages from the public and industry professionals conveys a simple truth:
Art remains, even when the artists are gone.

These three farewells — linked by timing but separated by their distinct careers — reaffirm the lasting impact and affection they continue to inspire across generations, according to El Heraldo de México.
