Luis, as identified by his sister Alondra Nuncio, suffered for several days from intense tooth pain that persisted despite taking antibiotics.

What started as a seemingly common problem quickly escalated into a medical emergency that ultimately claimed his life.

Luis’s family initially thought the swelling in his neck was mumps. However, upon arriving at the General Hospital of Saltillo, doctors confirmed the severity of his condition.

The infection had spread from his tooth to his throat, causing severe swelling that required intubation to help him breathe. Although he underwent surgery, doctors explained that the infection had already spread throughout his body, destroying vital tissues.

In a live video, Alondra described the family’s anguish as they watched Luis’s health rapidly deteriorate.

After several days in the hospital, the young man passed away on Wednesday, July 2. Heartbroken, Alondra took to social media to ask for help raising funds to cover funeral expenses, explaining that she still needed to gather 7,000 pesos to pay for the funeral package.
