One that left at least 12 dead and more than 100 injured on Ukrainian territory.

During a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Zelensky described the attack as a “great tragedy.”
He explained that it was mainly targeted at civilian infrastructure and the population.
He reiterated that Ukraine is willing to negotiate a ceasefire “without conditions,”
Once again opening the door to a possible diplomatic process despite the scale of the attacks.

Carney reaffirmed Canada’s “unwavering” support for Ukraine until a “just peace” is achieved.
He explained that the conflict in Ukraine was one of the main topics of discussion during the G7 working dinner held Monday night, attended by U.S. President Donald Trump.
During that meeting, the leaders discussed new pressure measures against Moscow due to its refusal to enter peace negotiations.
Canada announced that on Tuesday it will impose new sanctions on Russian individuals and entities, including around 200 vessels that are part of the so-called “ghost fleet” used to evade international restrictions.

Zelensky had planned to meet with Trump during the summit. However, the U.S. president unexpectedly left the event Monday night after only one day of participation, returning to Washington amid the Iran-Israel crisis.
His absence was notable in the final sessions of the summit, where joint measures were discussed in response to global crises.
The new Russian attack marks an escalation of the conflict and puts pressure on Western allies to maintain and increase their support for Kyiv.
At the same time, Trump’s absence during the critical stages of the G7 highlights internal diplomatic tensions within the bloc and raises questions about the cohesion of international leadership in confronting Russia.
