What Did the Authorities Say About Ethan Edward Richardson’s Case?
Despite the seriousness of the charges, Ethan Edward Richardson was released after posting an $80,000 bond, while authorities continued their investigation.
What seemed to be an isolated case soon turned into a much larger scandal.

These discoveries led to a new set of charges.
What Charges Is Ethan Edward Richardson Facing?
On May 5, 2023, authorities re-arrested Richardson after a grand jury indicted him on a total of 53 new charges.
These included 17 counts of possession of child pornography, 17 counts of production of child pornography, and 19 counts of aggravated surveillance.
According to the police, all of the charges are related to the initial arrest and the subsequent investigation, which allowed them to identify more victims.

What Happens Next?
Although Richardson had been released after his first arrest, the new charges stemmed from his prior conduct and not from any new incidents after his release.

According to investigations, Richardson would have recorded at least 18 more minors in the store’s bathroom, some of them as young as 2 years old, in incidents dating back to October 2022.
The investigation indicates that Richardson secretly used his cellphone to film minors in the store’s bathroom for sexual gratification, Law and Crime reported.
