Fernanda Redondo, the ex-partner of a vocalist from Banda Los Recoditos, spoke publicly after videos surfaced showing her harming herself.
The recordings were leaked after she accused the band’s singer, Rafa González, of alleged physical and psychological abuse during their 12-year relationship.
The videos quickly spread on social media, generating divided reactions among the singer’s fans.
Following the public exposure, Redondo decided to share her version of events during a television interview.
Fernanda Redondo’s allegations following a long relationship
Redondo said the conflicts began amid alleged infidelities by the musician.
In statements broadcast on March 9, she said: “He was intoxicated. He broke my phone because it contained a lot of evidence of messages where he insulted me and attacked me.”

She also said she received images sent by a third person who, according to her, was involved in a relationship with the singer.
Redondo claimed that after a confrontation she was locked in a room and later taken to a rehabilitation center.
Account of alleged forced admission to a rehabilitation center
In her testimony, Fernanda Redondo said she tried to escape by kicking the door in desperation.
“He locked me in my room. When the door opened, I started kicking it in desperation to get out and run,” she said.
According to her account, she was placed into a vehicle and taken away against her will.
She also stated that during the altercation she grabbed a knife while in a state of shock.
Fernanda Redondo’s explanation about the videos
Redondo said one of the videos that circulated online shows a moment when she injured herself.
“I made the mistake when he was attacking me… I said, ‘If he’s going to kill me, then I’ll kill myself.’ I stabbed my leg,” she explained.
She said the recordings only show her reaction and do not capture what allegedly happened before.
According to her, the situation repeated itself after she left the rehabilitation center.
New accusations and complaint
Fernanda Redondo said she decided to file a complaint after another alleged incident of aggression.
She said that after the musician returned from a work trip, a new confrontation occurred at their home.
“He took me to our bedroom, threw me on the floor, put his foot on my neck and used his knee to pin my arms down,” she said.
She also showed what she described as bruises from the alleged incident.
Response to criticism on social media
After the videos circulated online, some users questioned her version of events and suggested possible mental health issues.
Fernanda Redondo responded to those comments by saying:
“People say: ‘She’s crazy… She’s trying to damage his career.’”
She said the recordings reflect moments of crisis and do not show the full context.
“Yes, I do have a disorder that developed because of the violence I experienced with him,” she added.
