The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which defends the rights of the Jewish community, stated that the attack occurred at a public event aimed at calling for the release of Israeli hostages.
Local and national politicians also reacted after the facts became known.

“Antisemitism is a threat that cannot be ignored or normalized,” Jeffries said in a public statement.
The attack in Boulder comes amid rising tension over the Middle East conflict and a spike in hate-motivated incidents within the United States.
Just days earlier, two Israeli embassy officials in Washington, D.C., were killed by a man who also expressed support for the Palestinian cause.
Although the cases do not appear to be directly connected, authorities are paying closer attention to possible patterns of political radicalization.

The local community has begun organizing vigils in solidarity with those affected and has called for a comprehensive response to hate-driven speech.
The case of Mohamed Sabry Soliman, now in custody, is expected to set a precedent in how ideologically motivated violent acts are prosecuted in the country, according to EFE and BBC.
