Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa is going through a very difficult personal moment following confirmation that his mentor Alain Orsoni, former president of AC Ajaccio, the club that brought him to European football in 2011, was murdered.
Ochoa and Orsoni maintained a close relationship and friendship. The French executive was the one who trusted Memo and brought him over as the first Mexican goalkeeper to play in Europe. Visits to the Azteca Stadium and photos shared on social media reflected that bond.
“He was more than a president… he was support, a presence, a friend,” Ochoa wrote in an emotional farewell posted on Instagram.
