With just weeks remaining before the U.S. presidential election, a new poll reveals that Kamala Harris holds a slight lead over Donald Trump.
The Democratic vice president has 46% support compared to 43% for the Republican former president, according to the Reuters/Ipsos poll.
This six-day survey, which concluded on Monday, confirms the closeness of the race.
The poll reinforces the results of a previous measurement, which showed a similar margin of 45% to 42%, also within the margin of error.

With just two weeks before the November 5 election, the numbers indicate that the race remains extremely tight.
However, despite Harris’ lead, the electorate expresses deep pessimism about the state of the country.

Seventy percent of respondents believe the cost of living is headed in the wrong direction, and 60% feel the same about the economy.
Immigration policy is viewed negatively by 65% of voters, according to the Reuters report.
Despite her overall lead, Harris faces unexpected challenges on key issues.
Donald Trump is seen by voters as the candidate with the best approach to the economy, receiving 46% support compared to 38% for Harris on this issue.
On immigration, Trump also leads with 48% compared to Harris’ 35%, according to Reuters.
With the margin of error still playing a significant role, it remains to be seen whether Kamala Harris can maintain her lead.
