«In the blink of an eye, we lost three generations in a brutal and senseless act,» the Muñoz family summarized how they lost three loved ones.
Damiana Muñoz, her daughter Amy Muñoz, and Amy’s son Christopher are three of the five victims of a mass shooting in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
The nightmare for the Hispanics began around 10:00 PM on Monday, June 24.
A man, later identified by authorities as 57-year-old Erick Adams, fired a weapon and unleashed terror in the residential complex amid a hail of bullets.
Motive for the Las Vegas Shooting Under Investigation

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is still investigating what motivated Adams to burst into two apartments that night and mercilessly shoot the occupants.
First, according to authorities, he attacked the Muñoz family.

In the Hispanic household, the bullets were aimed at two adult women and a 13-year-old girl.
When the officers arrived, they found the lifeless bodies of Damiana Muñoz and her daughter Amy. The 13-year-old had been taken to the hospital in critical condition.
«This tragedy has left us with indescribable pain, immense pain,» writes Melissa Muñoz, a relative of the victims, on a GoFundMe account.
«This family legacy has been altered forever, and the upheaval left behind is unimaginable and terrifying,» Melissa laments in her post.
The Muñoz family member assures that the teenager’s life hangs by a thread and is in grave condition.
«She is currently in the ICU. She has not yet woken up,» Melissa states.

Erick Adams, the alleged killer, managed to escape, but dozens of officers tracked him throughout the night.
Adams was located on the night of Tuesday, June 25, still armed, officials said.
The officers repeatedly requested that he surrender, indicating that he was surrounded.
After several warnings to drop the weapon, Adams committed suicide, taking with him all the explanations the victims’ families and authorities are now seeking.
