Before going into details about how Shakira discovered Piqué’s infidelity, it’s worth remembering a few things.
In another interview with People en Español, the Colombian singer said that she found out that the footballer had been unfaithful through the media.
At that time, the singer’s father was seriously ill in the hospital.
Although they never made it to the altar, her relationship with Piqué asted more than 12 years and they share two children: Milan and Sasha.
Was the jam story true?
Almost immediately after it became known that Piqué had been unfaithful to Shakira, a rumor began circulating online.
Several websites claimed that upon returning from a trip, the singer noticed that some of her favorite jam was missing.
Supposedly, this caught her attention simply because neither her Piqué nor her children liked it.
However, in an interview with The Sunday Times, she said this wasn’t true.
Shakira compares her ex to Voldemort
If there’s one thing Shakira has been harshly criticized for, it’ that people think she needs to get over Gerard Piqué.
Most of the seven singles she has released since their split contain hints about what happened.
Inside her new album, there will be a song called ‘Última,’ which she dedicates to «Voldemort,» as she now refers to her ex.
«About Voldemort, the one who cannot be named? I hope this is the last song I write about this, and about him,» she said.
Shakira said she needed to get it all out
Before concluding this topic, Gerard Piqué’s infidelity, Shakira expressed herself as follows:
«I felt like there was still something there, stuck in my throat, and I needed to get it out,» revealed the Colombian singer.
The Barranquilla native shared a snippet of Última’ on social media.

Shakira also shared a video clip of the conversation she had with music producer Zane Lowe.
First, the artist pointed out that no one plans to go through as many difficulties and complex experiences as she did.
