U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Bryan Daniel Aldana Arevalo, a Salvadoran citizen accused of child sexual abuse.

The arrest took place in Nantucket, Massachusetts, where the 28-year-old was located by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).

Aldana Arevalo had entered the United States illegally and is now facing serious charges related to the sexual assault of minors.

In July, he was prosecuted in Nantucket District Court for rape of a minor with a 10-year age difference.

In addition to the initial charges, Aldana Arevalo now faces two additional counts of lewd and lascivious assault and assault on a child under the age of 14.

Despite the severity of the accusations, Aldana Arevalo was initially released on bail following his first court appearance.

However, ICE authorities later managed to apprehend him, and he now remains in federal custody.

The detained individual has been issued a notice to appear before an immigration judge in an upcoming hearing.

Todd Lyons, director of ERO Boston, described the alleged offenses as “detestable and disturbing.”

Lyons emphasized that Aldana Arevalo represents a “significant threat to the children in our communities in Massachusetts.”

ICE stated that the arrest is part of an ongoing strategy to protect public safety.

The agency continues to prioritize the identification and removal of non-citizens who pose a risk to society.

Authorities are still investigating the case while Aldana Arevalo awaits his immigration hearing.
