Following the strong statements made by De La Hoya against ‘Canelo’, the Jalisco native didn’t stay silent and expressed his feelings on the matter.

«They have to write what this f*ing ahole has to say,» declared the boxer before standing up from his seat to confront him.

«Do you write it? What do you write, dumba**? You don’t write anything. You don’t write anything, you’re an idiot. Those who do everything are behind you, you’re an idiot,» he added.

As a promoter, De La Hoya has been a key figure in Alvarez’s career, but his recent statements reveal cracks in that partnership.

«Have you paid Golovkin what you wanted to steal from him? This man does nothing but be a scourge of boxing and steal from boxers,» he concluded.

The tension in the boxing world reached its peak during the pre-fight press conference between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Jaime Munguía.

It all started when the legendary promoter and former boxer Oscar De La Hoya launched a verbal attack against the champion from Jalisco.

Sparks flew in Las Vegas when De La Hoya openly expressed his lack of respect towards Alvarez and his career.

«This fight for Jaime will be a demonstration that he deserves this opportunity,» declared Oscar De La Hoya.

«To be clear, I have no respect for ‘Canelo’ or his career because he has spent the past few months insulting me in the promotion of this fight,» he announced.

«But that doesn’t change the fact that Golden Boy changed the reality of Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, so you can have a little damn respect for that,» emphasized the boxer.

The underlying complexity of this conflict was evident in Oscar De La Hoya’s remarks regarding the boxer’s doping tests.

«As for Jaime, he has always pursued greatness, just as he will this weekend,» affirmed the Hispanic boxer.

«What happens on Saturday will serve to complete the circle that began when he was 21 years old and volunteered to fight Gennady Golovkin, when Canelo had tested positive in two doping tests,» he added.

«Jaime was denied the opportunity to fulfill his dream back in 2018, but he will achieve it this May 4th to become a world champion,» emphasized the promoter.
