Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar is the name of the person responsible for the terrorist attack during the New Year’s Eve celebration in New Orleans.

The man ran over dozens of people in Bourbon Street in the French Quarter, leaving 10 dead and at least 35 injured.

However, authorities confirmed what the suspect was carrying inside the truck he used to carry out the tragedy.

The FBI reported that he had an ISIS flag, CNN reported.

«An ISIS flag was found in the vehicle, and the FBI is working to determine the possible associations and affiliations of the suspect with terrorist organizations,» the agency said.

Shamsud-Din Jabbar ran over people in New Orleans, and when he got out of his vehicle, he began shooting, and the police shot him dead.

He was 42 years old and a U.S. citizen from Texas.

It was also reported that inside the truck, weapons and a suspected explosive were found.

The FBI confirmed that the Ford truck he used to kill people was rented, and the investigation is ongoing.

The truck was allegedly rented for $105 a day through the Turo app and crossed the border two days before the attack, but it was not specified whether the terrorist drove it from Mexico to the U.S. at that time.

Regarding the suspect, he was arrested in Katy, Texas, in 2002 for a misdemeanor theft charge.

Three years later, he was arrested by Beaumont police for driving with an invalid license, also a misdemeanor, according to the newspaper.
