Just a few days ago, a crime occurred that seems straight out of a movie script.
Two individuals stabbed Mexican chef Mateo Solís, just 20 years old.
The young man was celebrating his wife’s birthday at a restaurant when he got into an argument with these individuals.
However, last Sunday, the New York City Police Department released surveillance images of the suspects.
Wanted for the Murder of Mateo Solís

Through their official X account (formerly Twitter), the New York City Police Department shared the following message:
«Wanted for homicide. On July 2, 2024, at 2:57 a.m., near St. Nicholas Ave and W. 185 St in Manhattan, a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the back.»

Mateo Solís succumbed to the injuries inflicted by these individuals.

The brother of the Mexican chef revealed that the individuals exited through the front and waited for Mateo Solís to leave the restaurant.
One of them stabbed him in the back even though he tried to move away.
It was emphasized that calls to provide information about the suspects are confidential.
Besides his wife, Mateo leaves behind two children, who were being cared for by relatives in Mexico.
According to El Diario de Nueva York, authorities describe the suspected killers of Mexican chef Mateo Solís as follows:
Approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with light skin and medium build.
One of them was dressed entirely in black and the other in gray, also wearing a baseball cap.
Mateo Solís was saving to build a house in his home country.
