After U.S. President Joe Biden signed an executive order prohibiting protection for migrants crossing the border, things have worsened for them.
Border restriction measures have reduced the number of migrants accessing asylum in the country.
According to EFE , Joe Biden’s measure prohibits most people who cross the border irregularly from accessing asylum.
The number of people deported to their countries under this measure doubled last week.
Migrants Have Been Deported Last Week by Biden’s Executive Order

From June 5 to June 12, 73 percent of the migrants detained under this measure were processed to be deported to their countries.
The week prior to this period, the percentage was 36 percent, meaning Biden’s executive order caused an increase in deportations.
However, in El Paso, Texas, the measures have not had as much effect, as the decrease in migrants has been smaller.
In that area, detained migrants have not been able to request asylum.
