Hosts of  Telemundo’s La Mesa Caliente — Myrka Dellanos, Giselle Blondet, Verónica Bastos and Aylín Mujica — recently took a trip to Mexico.

They went there for their popular show, but Dellanos was surprised by her reception at the airport.

The TV host recounted what she described as an «assault» when they landed.

Her complaint sparked a mixed response, with some suggesting she overreacted, while others offering their support.

Myrka Dellanos described a distressing experience upon her arrival in Mexico, which cast a shadow over her trip.

«We landed in Mexico last night to broadcast La Mesa Caliente live,» she shared with her audience.

She said when they arrived at the airport: «We were confronted by a number of reporters who created a very unpleasant and unsettling atmosphere for us.»

«My colleagues and I were subjected to both physical and verbal aggression, hindering our ability to leave the airport. It was a really challenging ordeal,» Myrka added.

Myrka didn’t feel safe

She also said the encounter made her feel unsafe and she called for professionalism from the reporters.

She acknowledged their journalistic duties but emphasized the need to do their jobs without being so aggressive.

«Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt. I am still quite shaken. We came to Mexico solely to produce this show,» she remarked.

She concluded by asking for mutual respect and professional conduct, saying: «As journalists, we request the courtesy to do our jobs in the best way possible.»

Myrka thanked the Mexican public

Moreover, she expressed that, despite this unfortunate experience with the entertainment press, she holds a profound affection and respect for the country.

Myrk said that she wouldn’t have traveled from the United States to do the show and celebrate Day of the Dead otherwise.

«I have no doubt that the Mexican people are wonderful, and that’s precisely why we chose to be here,» the host declared.

She went on: «We care deeply for them and won’t let a few negative experiences alter our feelings towards Mexico.»

Was the stir because of Luis Miguel?

Videos circulating on social media reveal that Myrka Dellanos’ arrival in Mexico caused quite a commotion, resulting in the host falling amidst the chaos.

The footage shows reporters swarming her, seeking comments on the public feud between Aracely Arámbula and Luis Miguel.

A few weeks earlier, Myrka, who previously dated Luis Miguel, publicly defended him against Aracely Arámbula’s allegations on La Mesa Caliente.

Arámbula had accused Luis Miguel of being a deadbeat dad, to which Myrka responded describing that she’d seen that he was a good father.

Myrka defends Luis Miguel

During an episode of La Mesa Caliente, Luis Miguel’s ex was among the first celebrities to address the accusations levied against him.

She claimed that the artist, known for the song ‘Por Debajo de la Mesa,’ was being unjustly maligned.

«I can assure you that Luis Miguel loves his children and wants to see his children,» she said at the time.

She continued: «He has always yearned for a family and to spend time with them. It’s always been his greatest wish.»

Her fans criticize the Mexican press

Myrka encountered a range of feedback from Mexican netizens on YouTube video posted by La Mesa Caliente.

Comments included criticisms of the Mexican press: «For years the Mexican press has been chaotic and displays regrettable behaviors. It will only get worse.»

Others questioned their motives: «I don’t understand why the Mexican press behaves this way. What do they gain from acting like that?»
