This match could mark yet another relegation in Ochoa’s career, having already gone down with three different clubs in Europe:
In France, Spain, and Italy.
The current score seriously jeopardizes AVS’s place in the Primeira Liga and further complicates a season already marred by instability.
Including three managerial changes.

AVS entered the final matchday with their fate in their own hands.
However, in the 17th minute, Alan scored for Moreirense, and just eight minutes later, Cedric Teguia added a second. With that scoreline, Ochoa’s team dropped to second-to-last, falling into automatic relegation territory.
Ironically, the conditions seemed favorable at first, as direct rival Estrela Amadora was being routed 4–0 by Estoril in the first half. Nevertheless, AVS failed to respond on the pitch and sank further in the standings.
The Mexican goalkeeper has faced similar situations before: relegated in 2014 with Ajaccio in France, in 2017 with Granada in Spain, and in 2024 with Salernitana in Italy’s Serie A. Relegation with AVS would mark the fourth of his European career.
