The co-host of Despierta América admitted that he is giving himself another chance at love after publicly sharing his sexual orientation months ago.
The announcement comes after the release of his autobiographical book “La verdad muere de pie” (“The Truth Dies Standing”), where he opened up about his life more than ever before.
At 53 years old, the presenter says he feels fulfilled, free, and ready to embrace this new romantic experience.

When he first spoke publicly about his sexual orientation, González shared a powerful and reflective message.
“There are many people who condemn you in the name of God. Many people think it’s shamelessness, that it’s something from the devil. No one would choose something that brings so much pain because of society and what others think.”

He added:

Now, in an interview on the radio program “Buena Vibra,” Raúl González surprised listeners by revealing that his heart already belongs to someone.

The host explained that he has always been very private about his personal life, but that this moment comes after reaching a place of peace and personal stability.
“I needed to go through this process of peace, security, and serenity. And now I met someone, I’m giving myself a chance, and I’m very happy.”

Raúl González made it clear that his partner is not part of the entertainment industry.
“And that’s why I respect it, that’s why I don’t say who it is, because they are not a public figure,” he said when asked about the identity of the person who captured his heart.

“Yes, I’m very much in love.”
