Thalí battles Telemundo

Three months after the actress began her legal battle against Telemundo, whose executives have offered her money to settle, things are going in her favor.

Thalí García posted a statement on Instagram with an update on the progress she has made in her case against the network.

“I just found out that, as of Friday, May 24, Telemundo made the decision to fire the person who sexually harassed me and many others,” she begins.

“We still have many things to resolve, but I want to pause and say: ‘Thank you.’”

A Telemundo executive is fired

She considers this move as a triumph over the network: “Today it feels like we won a little piece of this battle, but I share the victory with you.”

Apparently, the executive was a vice president at Telemundo. “I applaud myself for having the courage to raise my voice and I applaud you for starting to act with responsibility and empathy.”

And she continued: “It was very alarming to know that a person like him was still working in the company and, furthermore, as a vice president.»

Does this imply she could be reaching a settlement with Telemundo?

It seems that the actress is open to the possibility that her issues with Telemundo and Endemol, can be resolved soon.

“I have to admit that I did not expect them to have that gesture toward us and their actions in the midst of what has been a sad, long and exhausting process,” she continued.

“It shows me how seriously they are taking my allegations. I sincerely wish that our process ends soon and in the best way for all parties involved,” she added.

«I want to thank God for this news and to our lawyers for whom we feel deep admiration and gratitude.”
