Ferrer Garibay, known on TikTok as Esmeralda FG, was 32 years old and had nearly 50,000 followers on her profile.

On the platform, she shared lifestyle content, highlighting travel, family moments, and designer items.

Her last post, dated August 7, showed her driving a car along dirt roads, paired with a message about her neighborhood.

That post had surpassed 3.3 million views by Wednesday, September 3, reflecting her reach and impact on digital audiences.

A Family With Roots in Michoacán

Esmeralda Ferrer Garibay lived with her family in southern Jalisco, though her roots were tied to the state of Michoacán.

Her husband, identified as Licea Garibay, 36, worked in car sales.

According to El Financiero, he also cultivated tomatoes in Michoacán, which supplemented the family’s income.

Their children—a 13-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl—were a central part of her life, as often shown in her social media videos.

The Jalisco Attorney General’s Office confirmed that the bodies were discovered in an auto shop in the San Andrés neighborhood.

The victims were wrapped in plastic and found inside a late-model pickup truck, according to El Universal.

Forensic experts and investigators processed the scene, uncovering ballistic evidence and blood traces at the site.

Deputy prosecutor Alfonso Gutiérrez Santillán stated that the evidence clearly indicates Esmeralda Ferrer Garibay’s family was murdered there.

Husband Seen as Possible Target
