The protests against ICE intensified particularly in the city of Paramount, part of the greater Los Angeles area, where more than 50 federal vehicles conducted a large-scale operation at a local business.
Protesters gathered to block arrests, clashing with federal agents in an attempt to stop the raids.
Violence escalated as officers used tear gas and stun grenades to disperse the crowd.
Several injuries were reported, including individuals struck by rubber bullets.
Conclusion: Rising Tension Amid Federal Crackdown
Military-style tactics were deployed to control the crowd and facilitate the extraction of detainees from the premises.
The operation drew condemnation from civil rights groups, while officials from the Department of Homeland Security voiced frustration over vandalism and property damage that followed the raids.
Federal buildings and ICE vehicles were tagged with graffiti and suffered damage late Friday night during the protests.
Tensions remain high in the city as protests continue, deepening the standoff between the community, local authorities, and the federal government.
