Former president and current Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, surprised attendees on Sunday by taking over the fryer at a McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania.

During the event, an employee taught him how to handle the fries, from placing them in the hot oil to serving them in boxes.

«It takes great skill to do it well and do it fast,» Trump commented, as he put on an apron over his suit and tie.

This unusual act, which attracted a crowd in a politically mixed area near Philadelphia, was part of his campaign strategy.

It also happened before his appearance at an event in Lancaster and his attendance at an NFL game, according to AP.

The visit served to counter Kamala Harris’ previous campaign claims, where she said she had worked at a McDonald’s during her college years.

Trump, without providing evidence, asserted that her story was false.

However, McDonald’s distanced itself from the former president’s visit, noting that although most of its locations operate under a franchise model, they had nothing to do with the invitation to Trump.

In a statement obtained by CNN, the company indicated that it did not organize the visit, though they acknowledged the importance of McDonald’s in everyday American life.

After handing out several orders at the drive-thru window, Trump improvised a press conference.

When asked if he would accept the results of the upcoming election, Trump said he would «if it’s a fair election.»

Asked if he had any message for Kamala Harris, who was celebrating her 60th birthday that day, Trump joked: «I’d say ‘Happy birthday, Kamala’,» adding with a smile, «I think I’ll send her flowers.»
