U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that «low-risk» migrants held at the Guantánamo Bay Naval Base will be deported.

As part of his immigration policy, the U.S. government has been transferring migrants to the military facility in Cuba.

CBS leaks reveal that 150 detainees, all Venezuelan nationals, are currently being held there.

Speaking from Mar-a-Lago, Trump stated: «Anyone deemed low-risk will be returned to their countries.»

The president emphasized that «all countries are now accepting deportees.»

Last week, his administration sent two deportation flights to Caracas.

These flights resumed a practice that had been suspended for years and was briefly revived under Joe Biden.

The government has not disclosed details about the migrants detained in Guantánamo.

Officials have labeled some as «high-risk criminals» with alleged ties to the Tren de Aragua gang.

However, CBS reports indicate that some detainees have no criminal record or have only committed minor offenses.

The New York Times published a list of 53 migrants held in Guantánamo.

Families of four detainees told EFE that the accusations against them are false.

They complained that they have been unable to contact their loved ones.

Last week, human rights organizations sued the Trump administration, demanding access to the detainees and transparency regarding their legal status.

These organizations warn that the migrants are being held incommunicado in Guantánamo.

They are calling for guarantees of access to legal information and respect for due process.
