A popular chocolate brand has announced the immediate recall of its Cappuccino Meltaway product.
This is due to the presence of an allergen that could cause severe and even fatal reactions in people who are allergic.
The warning was issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), advising about the potential health risks.

Gardners Candies, based in Tyrone, is recalling its Cappuccino Meltaway bars after health authorities detected tree nuts in the product.
This ingredient is not declared on the packaging list, posing a significant risk to people with allergies or severe sensitivity to nuts.
The recalled chocolates are packaged in 35-gram white plastic bags, identified with lot number 082725 and expiration date 27/08/25.
Additionally, these products are also found in Meltaway candy boxes, identified with lot numbers 101625 or 112525.
Each box contains two Cappuccino Meltaway bars along with other flavors.
Cause of the Issue According to the FDA
According to the FDA, the problem originated due to a temporary failure.
This occurred in the production and packaging processes, according to El Heraldo.
No cases of illness or allergic reactions have been reported so far.
However, authorities have urged consumers to avoid consuming these chocolates.
FDA Recommendations to Consumers
The FDA and Gardners Candies have made recommendations to consumers who have these bars or candy boxes, including not to consume them.
Instead, they should contact the company’s corporate office for a replacement.
Consumers with questions or who have experienced any health issues after consuming these chocolates can contact the company at the customer service number: 1-800-242-2639.
The service is available Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (US time).
