Ultimately, the retail chain decided to end all 24/7 operations.

This ended up restricting the time when people could do their shopping.

Over the years following this massive change, Walmart has begun to gradually expand its store hours across the country.

Currently, many of its locations are now open to the public from 6 am to 11 pm.

Despite the expanded hours, some customers don’t think it is enough.

Several Walmart customers have taken to Reddit to express their frustration.

Many of them have noted that they miss the flexibility of being able to visit the store at any time of the night, something that hasn’t been possible since 2020.

The Sun reported that many people have expressed their dissatisfaction with Walmart’s current hours.

“The only reason to go to Walmart was because it was the only place open late at night. Now, I have to go to Walgreens instead,” said one Reddit user.

«This. I miss shopping at night and not having to deal with the crowds. Now I just get overstimulated and want to leave as quickly as I came in,» another added.

“That was nice I could get my shopping done after work around 2 am and get what I need avoiding crowds at the start of the pandemic,» someone else chimed in.

“Was dumb they stopped being 24/7,” the Reddit user continued.

Despite persistent complaints, Walmart has repeatedly reiterated that it has no intention or plans to return to 24-hour operations.

For those looking to make purchases at night, the retailer has directed customers to their website.

They can shop anytime online.

While Walmart continues making changes, some customers have chosen to shop at other stores, like Walgreens.

In short, Walmart’s decision not to stay open for 24 hours has generated constant frustration among regular customers.

Many of them express their discontent through platforms such as Reddit.

Although the retail chain has gradually expanded its hours, many still miss the flexibility of shopping at any time of night.

Despite the complaints, Walmart has stated that it has no plans to return to its former hours, according to The Sun.
