«I think it’s a strong boxer who has the winning mentality. I believe that the two mentalities that are going to meet on May 4 is a guarantee of a great fight,» Canelo said.

He added: «I think he has earned it with the fights he has done. The person he is and it also makes me very proud to be able to say that another Mexican earned the opportunity.»

«It is the first time in history that two Mexicans will be fighting for the four world titles and that makes me very proud,» he continued.

“He is a very hungry boxer who throws punches. A strong fighter who is hungry to be and I think that makes him a dangerous fighter who is going to leave everything in the ring and of course he worries me.”
