According to Univisión, the son of actor René Strickler broke this news a week after celebrating his first wedding anniversary.

It’s worth noting that this surprised several people close to the couple, who had not given any signs that they were about to become parents.

Both Yannick and Manuel posted photos and videos on their Instagram stories.

The actor, originally from Argentina but based in Mexico, shared that his son and Manuel Alonso had been together for six years.

«I see them well. I adore Manolo, his partner. We travel, take vacations together. It’s normal. Times have changed,» he added.

The Argentinean actor, known for his roles in Corazón Indomable and Atrévete a Soñar, had more to say about his son.

«Enough of taboos, enough of all that kind of stuff,» he said, referring to the discrimination people face due to their sexual orientation.

René also commented that he has friends who also have gay children.

«Parents have to understand that our children have to be happy,» concluded the future grandfather.

Seconds later, the couple triggers a spray of blue smoke, confirming their baby’s gender.

Perhaps unintentionally, one of the guests at this celebration also revealed the baby’s name. He will be called Alonso.

So far, the couple has not commented on whether they are adopting or using a surrogate.
