Alejandra Jaramillo Breaks Her Silence Following Her Univision Departure. Following the sudden confirmation of her departure from both the Univision network and the afternoon program ¡Siéntese quien pueda!, the television host decided to break her silence with a heartfelt written reflection and an emotional video addressed to her followers, in which she discussed the emotional whirlwind she has experienced over the past few weeks.
Known affectionately as “La Caramelo,” Jaramillo opened her social media statement with a powerful message that made her spiritual and emotional outlook clear.
“Friends, the hate of a few will never be stronger than integrity, common sense, and love. Everything is going to be okay. God has the final word over my life. He will place me where He wants me to be, regardless of whether people believe I deserve that position. I love you all! Thank you for everything.”

Alongside her written message, Alejandra shared a video explaining, in her own words, how she has processed her departure from the entertainment show following the wave of online criticism sparked by her enthusiastic celebration after Mexico’s loss to England during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Hello, family. How are you? I’m here once again to confirm from my side that I am, in fact, no longer part of ¡Siéntese quien pueda!. I want to begin by thanking all of you for your words of encouragement and support over these past three weeks. I want you to know that this has definitely not been easy. It has not been simple.”
“I love art in all its forms and expressions. I love acting, I love communicating, and in this country I was able to fulfill that dream. Imagine an eight-year-old girl standing in front of a mirror, speaking with remarkable confidence for her age, dreaming her whole life of doing this. There is a time for everything under heaven; everything has its moment. I had to remain silent, and now I can finally tell you freely how I have been feeling.”
Alejandra Jaramillo Admits the News Has Been Difficult
Alejandra Jaramillo acknowledged that the past several days have been a constant emotional challenge and an opportunity for personal growth.
She explained that she has been practicing emotional discipline and gratitude, even when events do not seem fair.
“Even when we don’t understand what is happening, even when what happens doesn’t seem fair.”
However, she emphasized that she leaves with a clear conscience regarding both her original intentions and the public apology she later issued, which generated widespread debate on social media.
“There are two things that give me peace. First, my intentions came from the heart—I am at peace with how I acted. Second, I am at peace with my apology. Those apologies raised many questions, and now that I can speak freely, I want to tell you that no one forced me to make them. They came from my heart. In fact, they had to be approved before I could share them because I had to follow certain procedures and guidelines, but they were never altered. I expressed exactly what I truly felt, and I was never forced to apologize. I want to reaffirm those words: if I offended anyone, I stand by that apology. I also stand firmly behind every action I took because football is about excitement, passion, and emotion. If that cannot be understood, then football itself is not being understood.”

During the video, Alejandra Jaramillo reaffirmed her commitment to representing Latino immigrants who begin their lives from scratch in the United States, as well as hardworking young mothers.
To illustrate her healing journey, Alejandra picked up the book Love Is Not Begged For, It Is Nurtured by Daniel Habif and his wife, reading a passage from Chapter 10 rather than paraphrasing it:
“I will recover… I understand that, for now, you may feel trapped in a labyrinth, desperately searching for what you’ve lost, reaching toward yesterday in an attempt to recover what you can no longer see. Step out of the shadows of forgetfulness. Your dreams are not lost if you renew your faith. It is time to climb your mountain and reach the places you have always wanted to see. From collapse, you can rise. Repeat after me: I will not give up. I will not take a step backward. I will not fight for what I have lost, but for what I will learn and for what will surprise me. I will not only recover my dreams, my laughter, and my hope—I will build a new horizon. Today I renew my commitment to keep moving forward, even if the sign in front of me says ‘stop’ and voices shout, ‘you are not capable, you are not worthy.’ My dear friend, you will find abundance. Make yourself a promise to rise again, and along the way you will discover countless reasons to continue. You will recover, one way or another. God does not abandon His children. You will regain so much that it will overflow from your hands.”
After finishing the reading, the communicator reflected that she has overcome far more difficult moments in her life and described herself as “clay” continuously being shaped by the Creator.
She promised to continue working honestly and with the values instilled in her by her parents. She also urged her followers not to answer online hatred with more negativity. Closing with a popular Ecuadorian expression—“better not to pay it any mind”—she ended her message by assuring everyone that “Ale is here to stay.”
