In an interview shared by People en Español, Raúl De Molina opened up about the current state of television and the restrictions in place: “You can’t say anything anymore.”
The host of El Gordo y La Flaca discussed the challenges within the television industry.
“Most of the people who work in television aren’t good people,” De Molina said.
“They try to stab you in the back,” added the Cuban presenter.
Raúl De Molina has spent nearly three decades at the helm of one of the most successful shows in Hispanic television.
Univision airs El Gordo y La Flaca at 4 p.m. Eastern Time.
In a conversation with Daniela Di Giacomo, De Molina shared the reality behind the TV cameras.
“It’s not as pretty as it looks on the screen,” said the 65-year-old host.
With over 1.5 million followers on Instagram, Raúl de Molina’s influence is undeniable.
“Have things like that happened to you?” Di Giacomo asked. “Every day,” Raúl replied.

De Molina also spoke about the restrictions on modern television.
“Now you can’t say anything,” lamented the Univision star.
“What you’ve been saying your whole life, you can’t say anymore,” he added. He criticized the hypocrisy when addressing topics like weight and appearance.
“People get really angry,” De Molina noted. “Comedy isn’t what it used to be. Many comedians say this is awful,” he concluded.
Raúl de Molina expressed disappointment over the limits on freedom of expression in television due to political correctness.
“We can’t say what people like to hear without someone getting offended,” he finished.
