Six Venezuelan siblings are living through a difficult situation after being separated from their parents over the past four months.

Their father was first detained by agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and later deported to Venezuela.

Shortly afterward, their mother was also arrested by ICE agents in front of her home as she returned from work.

Since then, the six children have had to continue their lives without either parent present.

The children range in age from 2 to 14 years old.

They are currently living with three close family friends who decided to take them into their home.

The Sánchez family originally consisted of eight members.

The six children lived with both their father and mother before immigration authorities detained the parents.

First, the father was arrested by ICE agents.

He remained in detention until he was eventually deported to Venezuela.

Some time later, the mother was also taken into custody.

According to a message shared through a GoFundMe campaign, the woman was arrested outside her home after finishing her workday.

She has remained in detention since then.

Both parents are now separated from their six children, who have already spent four months without living with either parent.

In response to the situation, three close friends of the family decided to take responsibility for the children.

Those friends already had two children of their own.

With the arrival of the six siblings, the household now includes eight children in total.

Even with three adults living in the home, the family faces financial challenges in covering basic needs.

According to the fundraising message, there are several urgent expenses.

These include food, rent, school uniforms, and increased household utility costs.

The people caring for the children have asked for community support while the family goes through this difficult moment.

Campaign Seeks Support for the Children

The Prince George’s County Immigrant Rights Collective has begun efforts to mobilize resources to help the family.

The group said there is a significant need in the community to support immigrant families affected by ICE enforcement actions.

The campaign aims to raise funds to assist the children directly.

The money would help cover food, housing, school uniforms, and basic utilities.

Although the children have been able to communicate with their parents through video calls, the separation continues to affect their daily lives.

According to the message shared in the campaign, the children deeply miss their parents’ presence and affection.

The family currently caring for them has asked for community support while they wait for the possibility of being reunited with their parents.

The situation has sparked concern among local residents, who are trying to mobilize resources so the children can maintain stability while their parents’ immigration cases are resolved.
