The FBI has decided to reopen several unresolved or stalled investigations, including the 2023 discovery of cocaine inside the White House.
The announcement came from FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who said these cases “have generated significant public interest.”
Bongino stated that he and FBI Director Kash Patel reviewed “a number of potential public corruption cases” and agreed to reopen or allocate additional resources and investigative attention to them.
One of the most discussed incidents is the discovery of a small bag of cocaine inside a cubicle near the entrance to the West Wing.
FBI Intensifies Key Investigations

The substance was found during the July 4th holiday weekend in 2023, and quickly stirred controversy among Republicans.
Donald Trump, then a Republican presidential candidate, declared it was “implausible that the drugs could belong to anyone other than Biden or his son Hunter,” even though the Biden family was not in Washington at the time.
A White House spokesperson called those claims “incredibly irresponsible.”
The initial investigation was closed by the Secret Service without identifying any suspect.
Bongino later claimed that whistleblowers told him they “suspected” the evidence might be linked to someone in Biden’s inner circle, though he provided no proof.
In addition to the cocaine case, the FBI is also reopening the probe into the leak of a draft opinion by the U.S. Supreme Court that ultimately led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022.

The final ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson ended federal constitutional protection for abortion rights.
The draft was published by Politico on May 2, 2022, sparking political outrage.
Trump called the leaker a “slug” and demanded that “the involved journalists be jailed until they reveal the source.”
The Supreme Court never identified the leaker.
The FBI is also renewing efforts in the unsolved case involving homemade bombs placed outside the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Republican National Committee (RNC) offices in Washington, D.C., on January 5, 2021.
The devices were discovered one day before the Capitol riot and later safely dismantled.
“The case has baffled law enforcement,” Bongino noted, adding that “even with video footage, no suspect has been identified.”
The FBI deputy director confirmed that he will now require weekly briefings on the progress of these reopened cases.
Do you think these investigations will affect the image of Biden’s government?
