Residents of Oklahoma are facing the destruction caused by massive wildfires.
More than 400 homes and structures have been damaged or destroyed in the state.
Authorities warn that the risk of new fires will continue into next week.
Strong winds and low humidity have complicated containment efforts.

Jeremy Cook, a resident of Stillwater, lost his home and described his pain between «laughs and tears.»
In Stillwater, at least 74 houses were razed by the flames, according to Mayor Will Joyce.
Fire Chief Terry Essary noted that 70 mph winds made fire control impossible.
«It’s an insurmountable task,» said Essary about the magnitude of the Oklahoma fires.
The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management confirmed the death of four people due to the fires.
The victims died in the counties of Lincoln, Garfield, Haskell, and Pawnee.

Deborah Ferguson lost her husband, who died trying to flee the fire on an ATV.
Her 15-year-old son suffered severe burns and remains hospitalized.
In Texas, the fires also spread rapidly due to extreme conditions.
One of the largest fires near Fredericksburg has consumed 14 square miles.
The winds in Texas and Oklahoma were so intense they overturned several tractor-trailers.
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt also lost his home in the fires.
«We will rebuild along with the rest of Oklahoma,» he stated in a message on X.
